The engineers have been busy at NORDYNE, and we’ve launched several new packaged products this year with all-aluminum Micro-Channel coils for lighter weight, smaller size, better durability and greater reliability in corrosive environments.
P7RD Packaged Air Conditioner The 13-SEER P7RD single-packaged air conditioning system features a small footprint for ease of installation. A wire coil guard coated with Earth-friendly epoxy and a never-rust mesh hail guard protect the coil from being damaged by balls, lawnmowers, hail and more.
Q7RD Packaged Heat Pump In addition to Micro-Channel indoor coils, the Q7RD small packaged heat pump features Broad Ocean fixed-torque variable-speed blower motors, Samsung rotary compressors in the 2-3 ton models, and Copeland scroll compressors in the 3 ½ – 5 ton units.
R8GD Gas Pack The new R8GD packaged gas/electric units utilize Micro-Channel indoor and outdoor coils as well as Copeland compressors. Although the length and width remain the same as previous gas packs, the new models are around 5 inches shorter, up to 20 percent lighter and use up to 70 percent less refrigerant charge due to the all-aluminum coil technology.
