Micro-Channel Coil

The Future of Coils

An unprecedented amount of regulatory changes has led to a host of challenges for the HVAC industry. Regulators want the industry to decrease greenhouse gasses and increase efficiency, but have left it to manufacturers to figure out a solution. We’re tackling this problem head-on with Micro-Channel coils.

Nortek Global HVAC released Micro-Channel condenser coils in 2012. A year later, we launched indoor, Micro-Channel evaporator coils. Many Micro-Channel systems are easier to install due to their smaller footprint and lighter weight. AND, they use less refrigerant than other coils, making them easier on a contractor’s wallet and more eco-friendly.

We’re not the only ones who think these coils are pretty great. In 2012, our B6EMMX air handler won a Silver Award in the Dealer Design Awards program because of its use of Micro-Channel evaporator coils. Units that are recognized in the Dealer Design Awards program are selected by a panel of 29 independent contractors.

Nortek Global HVAC has a Micro-Channel system for nearly every need. We have released both split and packaged systems that include these innovative coils.
